Makaway was started in 2007 with the heart to reach low income children with the Gospel and “make a way” for all children to go to camp.

We are dedicated to providing a fun and enriching experience for children in Central Alberta who may not have the means to attend camp on their own. We encourage teamwork, outdoor activities, and personal growth in a supportive Christian environment.

We provide a week long overnight camp for children who are 7 to 12 years old. We have activities such as swimming, tuck (candy time), games, crafts, and chapel.

We have approximately 100 children attend camp every year. We rely on the support of donors and volunteers to make camp possible.
